Add the Utah CFP to your MD training for nationwide travel coverage. MD permit only works in Maryland — UT covers the rest.

What you need to know about each permit — requirements, what to bring, and how to apply after class.
You'll receive a training certificate. Take it to your local circuit court clerk with the CHP application (Form SP-248), a passport photo, and the $10 clerk fee + up to $35 for the background check. Processing takes up to 45 days.
Submit your Utah BCI application online or by mail within 1 year of class completion. You'll need: training certificate, passport photo, fingerprint card (we help with this), and the $87 non-resident fee. Processing takes 60–90 days.
Maryland does NOT honor any out-of-state permits, and the MD permit is NOT recognized in other states. If you travel outside Maryland, you will need the Utah CFP for out-of-state coverage. Consider the MD + UT or All States Premium package.
Multi-State Carry Academy was founded to solve a problem DC Metro residents experience firsthand: needing to attend multiple separate courses at multiple schools to get the permits they wanted. The result was wasted weekends, repeated content, and unnecessary expense.
Multi-State Carry Academy's modular curriculum teaches shared content once, then stacks state-specific law modules on top — giving students maximum permit coverage in minimum time, with an instructor who holds credentials in every state he teaches.
Small class sizes ensure personalized instruction. Seats fill quickly — reserve yours early. All classes held at hotel conference rooms in Northern VA/MD.
